The Research and Development (R&D) Center at AVN Institute of Engineering and

Mission:
1. Inspire faculty, students, and research scholars to engage in independent research or
pursue Ph.D.-driven projects, with a strong focus on disseminating findings through
publications in reputable journals and conferences.
2. Forge strong partnerships with industries for consultancy projects, creating opportunities
for research that leads to innovations and the development of intellectual property rights.

Goals:
1. To encourage faculty, undergraduate, and postgraduate students to actively engage in

2. To organize seminars, workshops, and training programs focused on promoting research,
enhancing research capabilities, and creating awareness about Intellectual Property
Rights (IPR) and patent filing.
3. To assist faculty and students in publishing research results by providing support for
writing and reviewing papers before submitting them to reputable conferences and peer-
reviewed journals.
4. To develop and implement clear guidelines for internal reviews that will support the
progress of research and Ph.D. pursuits among research scholars and faculty.
5. To guide and support faculty, students, and other stakeholders in applying for research
funding from various government and private sector schemes that promote innovation
and development.
6. To foster partnerships with industries and other organizations, focusing on collaborative
research and co-development of innovations through mutual cooperation.
Objectives:
Research at AVN Institute of Engineering and Technology is central to enhancing the
teaching-learning process and establishing the institution as a leader in addressing societal
challenges through the application of Science and Technology. The R&D Center aims to
strengthen the institute’s research initiatives by engaging with funding agencies, R&D
institutions, industries, and faculty members to drive innovation in key areas of societal
relevance.
1. Promote research and consultancy at the institutional level to address contemporary
global challenges.
2. Facilitate productive interactions with external agencies, including industries,
government funding bodies, and other research organizations.
3. Establish and develop thematic research areas to focus on high-impact innovations and
solutions.
4. Significantly increase the number of quality publications in peer-reviewed journals and
conferences, while fostering a culture of intellectual property generation (IPR).
5. Assist faculty and research scholars in preparing and submitting R&D proposals for
external funding to further research initiatives.
6. Encourage the development of innovative products within the institute and facilitate their
participation in national competitions and expos to showcase the institute’s research
capabilities and achievements.

Dr.G.Dhanalakshmi (Head – R&D)
She working as Head-R&D, Professor/ECE in AVN Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. She received the Ph.D degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and the M.E. Degree in VLSI Design from Anna University of Technology, in which secured the university first rank and was awarded Gold Medal. She obtained B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. She has teaching experience of 15 years. She established Robotic Research Laborary and IoT research laboratory, MSME Incubation Unit, AICTE IDEA Lab. She has published more than 50 papers in International/ National Journals and International Conferences. She has guided UG, PG projects and Ph.D Scholar. Her area of interest is IoT, AI, Low Power VLSI Design, Robotics, and Avionics. She is a life time member in professional societies like IEEE, ISTE, CSI.
