Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2009 with an intake of 60 and by 2010 was upgraded to 120.
Mechanical Engineering is that discipline of engineering which applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems
This engineering field requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics and kinetics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis. Mechanical engineers use these core principles along with tools like CAD/CAM and product life cycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, automobiles, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more.
To create employable and entrepreneurial engineers with academic excellence, positive attitude, effective communication and interpersonal skills, self confidence, leadership qualities and high integrity to serve the interest of society and nation.
The strength of this department lies in its well-qualified and experienced faculty who have expertise in the areas of Mechanics, Kinematics ,Thermodynamics, Materials science and Structural analysis.
At AVNIET, we have ultra modern labs.
